Jesse Anthony is the co-owner of Cookhouse Café & Catering, a community-focused business on Six Nations built around homemade food, specialty drinks, and meaningful service. Alongside his mom, who has been catering for more than 20 years, Jesse helped grow the business after a kitchen space became available and the idea of opening a café started to feel possible. What began as a conversation quickly turned into action, and together they launched a business that now includes both a front-facing café and a full catering operation.
Cookhouse Café & Catering serves a wide range of events, including weddings, funerals, birthdays, Christmas parties, and community programming. In the café, Jesse wanted to offer something a little different for the territory, including specialty drinks like pumpkin spice lattes, caramel lattes, and iced mochas. The café has also become known for comforting, nostalgic food items like clubhouses on Thursdays and Indian tacos on Tuesdays. For Jesse, the goal has always been to create a place where people feel welcomed, cared for, and connected to the space.

One of the most rewarding parts of the business for Jesse is being able to serve the community and see people genuinely enjoying both the food and the experience. He places a strong emphasis on service, making sure customers feel like they are part of the café rather than just passing through. He also believes in setting clear goals, staying organized, and using the resources, mentorship, and support available within Six Nations. Looking ahead, Jesse hopes to keep growing and one day create even more spaces where community, creativity, and conversation can come together.

“Don’t be afraid to just do it.”
