Jesse Williams is a Mohawk Nation, Turtle Clan member from Six Nations and one of the partners behind The Albert Group, a full-service professional accounting practice based in the community. A family-owned business, The Albert Group is led by Jesse alongside his mother and sister, while his father, Gator, is recognized as the founder after dedicating the past 50 years to serving the community as a professional accountant. Today, the business supports individual and business clients across the country.
Though accounting was never part of Jesse’s original plan, he pursued it at a time when he was looking for a practical and financially stable path forward. Over time, that decision became something much more meaningful. Jesse found purpose in using his skills to help people hold onto more of their money and improve their quality of life. He believes The Albert Group is the only full-service professional accounting practice owned and operated by Onkwehonwe people on reserve in the country, and the business has grown successfully over the years primarily through word of mouth.

Jesse says the most rewarding part of the work is knowing it has a direct impact on the lives of clients and families. Whether that money goes toward groceries, rent, children’s activities, or other essentials, he sees accounting as a way to create real change in the community. For him, The Albert Group is not just a business. It is a way to serve the people and contribute to stronger communities across the country.

“We’re all born with a purpose, and we are supposed to use our gifts and our skills and our strengths to help our people in whatever way that is.”
